Ambroxol Hydrochloride+ Guaiphenesin+ Terbutaline Sulphate+ Menthol is a polypharmacy for the treatment of productive cough that is related to bronchial asthma, bronchiectasis, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), bronchitis (inflammation of bronchial tubes), and emphysema (shortness of breath). Coughing (dry or productive) is an elimination mechanism of a body by which irritants (such as allergens, mucus, or smoke) from airways are removed and infection is avoided.
Ambroxol Hydrochloride+ Guaiphenesin+ Terbutaline Sulphate+ Menthol is a combination of Ambroxol hydrochloride, Terbutaline Sulphate, Guaiphenesin, and Menthol. Ambroxol hydrochloride is a mucolytic that thins sputum so that it is easy to cough up. Terbutaline Sulphate is a bronchodilator that opens and dilates the air passages of the lungs. Guaiphenesin is an expectorant that lowers the thickness/viscosity of bronchial secretions (phlegm) and enhances the flow of mucus so that it becomes easy to cough. Menthol soothes a sore throat.
