  • Chloramphenicol IP – 0.5% w/v

Indication: For the treatment of inflammatory and bacterial infections of the eye and ear.
Dosage & Administration: As directed by the physician.

Betamethasone+Chloramphenicol Eye/Ear Drops are administered in the treatment of bacterial infections of the eyes. Betamethasone + Chloramphenicol is an allopathic drug. The dosage of Betamethasone + Chloramphenicol must be taken according to the age, gender, and health history of the patient. This is given in detail in the dosage section.

Betamethasone + Chloramphenicol is a combination of two drugs: Betamethasone and Chloramphenicol, which are used for treating eye infections. Betamethasone is a corticosteroid medicine. It inhibits the formation of some chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause redness, swelling and itchiness of the eye following an allergy or infection. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that inhibits the growth of bacteria by preventing the synthesis of critical proteins necessary for bacteria to perform essential functions.
