Description
Chlorhexidine Gluconate + Sodium Fluoride + Zinc Chloride Mouthwash
Chlorhexidine + Sodium Fluoride + Zinc Chloride is a class of drug known as ‘antiseptics’ mainly for the treatment of gingivitis and oral mucositis. Gingivitis refers to gum inflammation due to pathogenic bacteria. If not treated, it may result in periodontitis, which results in gum detachment from teeth and subsequently leads to tooth loss. Oral mucositis is inflammation of the mouth tissue.
Chlorhexidine + Sodium Fluoride + Zinc Chloride has chlorhexidine, sodium fluoride, and zinc chloride. Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic. It acts by adhering to the surface of teeth, inner cheek, and gums. It kills the infectious bacteria that cause gum disease, ulcers, and other mouth infections. Sodium Fluoride hardens the teeth and prevents decay (cavity) due to bacteria. Zinc Chloride exhibits antiseptic (prevents the growth of microorganisms) and astringent action (tightening of soft organic tissues).
