Albendazole + ivermectin is employed in the treatment of parasitic worm infections. Parasitic worm infections are infections of any intestinal worm that occurs as a result of the ingestion of contaminated food and water. Albendazole + ivermectin is employed to treat infections due to roundworms, hookworms, threadworms, whipworms, pinworms, flukes, and other parasites.
Albendazole + ivermectin has ‘albendazole’ and ‘ivermectin’ as ingredients, which act by preventing the worm from absorbing glucose and reducing its energy levels, resulting in its paralysis. Ivermectin is capable of killing the parasites by targeting the nervous system. It starves the worms by causing paralysis, thereby leading to their death.
